REVIEW: New Games Workshop Texture Paints


When I saw the new texture paints from Games Workshop I was instantly intrigued by their new thicker variations of each color, as well as the change to microbeads. The thicker Agrellan and Martian crackle paints looked the coolest to me, so I picked up one of those and the Stirland Battlemire for an upcoming project to test them out and compare them to their older counterparts.

There are many forms of miniature painting out there, but in its broadest sense we can whittle it down to two camps, tabletop quality and display quality. Both of these require different approaches, and some tabletop painters can't do display quality, while some display painters can't turn out an army. What does it take to transition between the two?

Building a Better: Tomb Herald


Ever since I started collecting Tomb Kings back in 2011 I have wanted to make a Herald on a chariot model, being particularly inspired by the old special character Nekaph. Now, five years later and with that unit not even having rules in Age of Sigmar anymore, I have finally gotten around to building it.
