Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.
Tzeentch Lord by Fabrizio Russo on Putty and Paint |
There are conversions, and then there are CONVERSIONS. This definitely falls into the latter camp. It's hard to even figure out what parts were used on this. I see a Gaunt Summoner, a Kairic Acolyte, and that's about all I can identify for sure. This is the best type of conversion. It takes all of those separate parts and combines them into something wholly new and unique. He definitely hit the mark with a Tzeentch hero as well. This guy looks like he is about to be consumed by change. The composition on it is spectacular.
The painting is great too. I really like how dark and ominous it is. It still looks Tzeentchian without being super bright like we normally see. The style of painting also has a very painterly style to it. You can see the artist's hand in it, but it's not distracting. All of the colors work together perfectly. This really is a superb model in every aspect.
Be sure to check out more views of it on Putty and Paint.
