Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.
Squig Hopper by In_The_Middle on Putty and Paint |
In contrast to the the more subdued colors on most of the model, the vibrant, almost neon green of the skin really stands out. It draws your eye to the rider right away. The brightness of the non-metallic metal armor helps as well. I like that the design on the lance ties back into the colors on the squig. The base is really pretty simple, but does an amazing job at not only framing the model, but reinforcing the overall feel of the piece and giving it a sense of place. An entire army of Moonclan done in this fairy tale aesthetic would look fantastic.
Be sure to check out more views of it on Putty and Paint.
Until next time,
Tyler M.
