Welcome back to Mini of the Week, where every Friday I will find a miniature from around the web that exemplifies an aspect of our hobby and share it with you.
There have been tons of great Nagash models, but I really like this one for a couple of reasons. First off, it's fairly interesting seeing him without his vortex of ghosts around him. You may not have even realized they were gone at first, but it creates a fairly different silhouette and look for the model. He's much thinner now and a lot more of the focus is on Nagash himself. I also really like the color choices here. The contrast between the dark, almost black areas on his armor and clothes and the super bright blueish white of the ethereal elements is very striking. Last but not least, that base. That is an amazing, dynamic, scenic base. The pool of spirit energy in front of him is just cool, as are the ruins and Nighthaunts on the other half of the base. It really creates a sense of place.

All of the painting on him is super smooth and crisp, especially those blends between the blacks and the ghostly areas. I also like how all of the colors besides the ethereal areas are fairly subdued, which just makes the neon of the white and blue really pop. All in all this is a really cool, unique, and well done Nagash.
Be sure to check it out more views of it on Cool Mini or Not and show the artist some love if you like it.
Until next time,
Tyler M.
