I recently finished reading the Legacy of Caliban trilogy by Gav Thorpe and I knew I had to try and pick his brain a bit about some of the world altering events that occurred in it. As soon as I got the Betrayal at Calth boxset I started thinking about what legion I would paint it as. I went through several options, World Eaters, Word Bearers, Ultramarines, even adding the models into my Astral Claws. In the end though I decided to do the 7th legion, the Imperial Fists.

The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth - Gameplay Review
As soon as I got the new boxed game I knew I wanted to try out the gameplay itself. A lot of people are understandably excited about the miniatures, which I am too, but GW also produces some great board games. So with some proxy forces and my friend Adam in tow we played through the first two scenarios.

GALLERY: Bushido Commission
This guy was the second part of a commission for me and was a little out of my normal repertoire being non Warhammer. While I was a little unsure of it at first, I ended up really enjoying it. I got to try a few colors and techniques I don't normally do, which is always a plus as a painter.

REVIEW: Ghal Maraz
Ghal Maraz is the second novel in the Realmgate Wars series, and just like it's predecessor it acts as a companion pieces to a campaign book, this time The Quest for Ghal Maraz. Composed of two novellas it carries on the stories from the first book and brings them to their conclusions. So how does the second installment fare?
