GALLERY: Astral Claws Battle-Brother Gibil
My Sternguard squad for my Astral Claws has been a real slow burn project. I started them right when the unit came out in plastic and have been working my way through them ever since. The newest member to join their ranks is the heavy flamer toting Battle-Brother Gibil.

REVIEW: The Warhammer App
As most of you probably already know by now, Games Workshop came out with a free App a month or so ago. The Warhammer App has had some time to develop since it was released so I figured now was a good time to give my initial review.

GALLERY: Valten, Exalted of Sigmar
I have had this model for almost a decade now and have never had a good reason to paint it. With the End Times and republishing of his rules I figured now was as good a time as any. This guy was a lot of fun to paint and yet a complete pain at the same time.

HOBBY: Knowing When to Adapt Your Project
We've all done it, started on a project with an idea that may have been a little over ambitious. There comes a point where you must either concede and adapt or push through and finish it regardless. The trick is knowing when to pick which option.

RETRO REVIEW: The Heart of Chaos by Gav Thorpe
Apparently all I remembered from the first time I read this book was the final battle. I had in my mind that this was just a big action scene, but there's so much more to it. Both Kurt and Ursala embark upon their own personal odysseys that eventually bring them back together in the highly entertaining conclusion to the Slaves to Darkness trilogy.

Khaine: Tally of Destruction
With each new End Times book comes a new swathe of destruction cut across the Fantasy world. Famous and well known characters bite the dust and entire lands crumble into history and Khaine was no exception.

When I first started this project the Screaming Skull Catapult was not very high on my list of things to paint, but it actually was a lot of fun. Not only do I have some high quality pictures for you, but I also have some experiments in how I will present my projects in the future.

REVIEW: The Fall of Altdorf
The second novel in the End Times series, The Fall of Altdorf is written by Chris Wraight. Knowing his track record that means it has to be a slam dunk, right? Well, almost, and it's not necessarily his fault.

PAINTING: Todd Swanson's Crafting a Demon Winner
When I interviewed Todd Swanson the other week for the Miniature Painting Masters series he sent me so many pictures of his models to use that there was no way I was going to fit them all in that one article. Today I have a selection of those pictures for four of his Golden Demon winning models with never before seen in progress shots.

RETRO REVIEW: The Blades of Chaos by Gav Thorpe
The Blades of Chaos is the second book in Gav Thorpe's fantasy trilogy, and it easily follows the excellent debut by upping the action, drama, and exploration of the Warhammer world. If I remember correctly, this book is actually the reason I started reading the series way back when.

Glottkin: Tally of Destruction
Another End Times book, another round of earth shaking deaths and revelations. Although Glottkin can't compete with the body count from Nagash, it still has some pretty important, shocking, and just awesome deaths in it. Let's get started.

HOBBY: Constructing a Necropolis
As some of you may know, the Armies on Parade competition is coming up, in fact it's this coming weekend. With no Golden Demon in the US this year I had to get my painting competition fix somehow, so I figured why not? What does every Armies on Parade entry need? An awesome display board.

RETRO REVIEW: The Claws of Chaos by Gav Thorpe
Today I decided to do my first retro review, basically a review of an older book or game. I first read The Claws of Chaos when the last book in the trilogy was released in 2004 and on a second read through it still holds up as one of my favorite Warhammer Fantasy novels and one of Gav Thorpe's best works to date.

TUTORIAL: Cinematic Photographs
We have all seen the amazing pictures that Forgeworld makes to bring its models to life. They give 40k a truly cinematic sense and help give the models a more real presence. I know this is what most of us imagine when we play a game of 40k, well today I'm going to show you how I went about making an image similar to this.

HOBBY: Magical Effects - Skullstorm
I have been wanting to make this model for awhile now, pretty much ever since I saw the Balewind Vortex after I started playing Tomb Kings. There is just something about creating a visual element for the action elements of our games, from explosions to spells, that takes them to the next level.

REVIEW: The Return of Nagash
What could have been a lazy, by the numbers recounting of what many of us have already read in the Nagash book, instead delved deeper into the psyches of some of Warhammer's most infamous villains, delivering a thoroughly entertaining story. The latest from Josh Reynolds did not disappoint, so let's take a look at this novel that heralds in the End Times.

What makes a brush good and how do I extend its life?
